Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing
The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing Studies is a occupational qualification that provides learners with the skills to work as an employed or self-employed hairdresser. This qualification is based on Hairdressing National Occupational Standards and is recognised by the UK’s leading hairdressing trade professional associations as being fit for purpose for preparing learners for a career as an advanced hairdresser and stylist.
This qualification builds on existing knowledge and understanding of hairdressing and will develop technical skills to prepare our learners for employment as a senior hairdresser and stylist. Students will work in, and have their hairdressing skills assessed in our salon.

Entry requirements: Entry onto this qualification can be via a previous attained Level 2 NVQ qualification in hairdressing.
What this qualification could lead to: Students who complete this qualification are eligible to become a State Registered Hairdresser with The Hairdressing Council.

This qualification includes all the required elements to work as an advanced hairdresser and stylist including: client consultation, health and safety, advanced cutting and selling products and services to clients.
Monitor procedures to safely control work operations

Creatively cut hair using a combination of techniques
Promote additional services or products to customers
Optional Specialist Units
A minimum of 4-5 components must be covered. The Academy prefers to cover the highlighted topics as they are more desirable in a commercial salon.
